Pets & People

Millions of people across North America encounter various types and stages of ticks every year. Pets are even more at risk. By recording location and date, and submitting an identification or picture**, together we can improve tick bite risk warning systems to bring seasonally- and spatially-relevant prevention messages to the broadest audience possible. Easy fill-in forms are posted on several popular TickSpotters pages.

**TickSpotters staff can help you identify the tick you've found based on your image and geographical location. Tick-borne diseases are only carried by certain ticks in specific regions. By submitting images to the TickSpotters, you grant TickSpotters the right to post your image(s) on TickSpotters.org & it's social media outlets.
